Executive changes at Flash Sponsorship, one of South Africa’s leading Sponsorship Commercial agencies. Flash Sponsorship have appointed Richard van der Schyff as Managing Director

“I am excited about the opportunity, and the responsibility that this change brings, and am confident in our ability to continue delivering commercial success for our clients” says a beaming van der Schyff, barely containing his enthusiasm. “I’d like to thank all our clients for the support and faith that they have shown in Flash Sponsorship and look forward to continuing this journey with them” he says.

“Flash has its own proprietary approach to Sponsorship commercialisation: the Flash Science. We use this approach to unpack and unlock our clients’ true commercial potential. The Science; collaboration with our partners; and of course a solid network within the industry are the secrets to our success” he adds.

“Testimony to these structures, and our way of working within Flash Sponsorship, are the clients that we represent and the relationships that we have built over the last eight years” continues van der Schyff.

In order to ensure our structures are best aligned to support our clients, Flash Sponsorship’s Business Director, Gill Fraser will take a more active role in the commercial & sales processes. Gill possesses a wealth of Sponsorship knowledge and experience and will assist ensuring stability and continuity at the agency.

Outgoing founder and MD, Anthony Garstang who moves to NBA Africa, had this to say “Richard is one of the hardest working individuals in our industry. He is a consummate professional who cares deeply for all of our clients and I simply could not have hoped to find a better person to take over from me and to take Flash Sponsorship to greater heights!”.

With over 25 years’ experience in the Sponsorship industry and holding relationships across many sporting codes and industry categories, the future looks bright for Flash Sponsorship and its new leader Richard van der Schyff.
