The Comrades Marathon is a 90km ultramarathon run annually in South Africa between the cities of Pietermaritzburg and Durban. With over 22,000 runners the Comrades Marathon will be celebrating the 100th running of the race in 2027.
The race is broadcast for 13,5 hours live on SuperSport on three dedicated channels that deliver an audience of 1.5m unique viewers . Along the route, runners are joined by an estimated 500,000 spectators.
